CONTROL PANEL
In general, a control panel is a container, interface, or centralized unit used to regulate, control, monitor, and secure the operation of a system, machine, or software. The function of a cold storage control panel is an electronic control center that serves to regulate, monitor, and control the entire refrigeration system automatically. So it can be said that the control panel is the "brain" of the cold storage system. Without the control panel, the compressor, condenser, evaporator, and fan would not know when to turn on or off to maintain a stable temperature.
The main function of the control panel in cold storage:
- Automatic Temperature Control (Thermostat). Ensuring the temperature inside the room remains at the desired set point, for example, -20°C for the freezer or 2°C for the chiller.
- Defrost System (Ice Bloom Melting). Regulating the ice bloom melting cycle that adheres to the Evaporator periodically to ensure smooth cold air circulation.
- Electrical System Protection. Protecting the compressor and fan motor from damage due to overload, short circuit, or electrical voltage instability (phase loss/reversal).
- Monitoring & Alarm. Provides visual or audible warnings if anomalies occur, such as a drastic increase in room temperature, a door being left open for too long, or excessively high/low freon pressure.
