Water-Cooled Chiller is a type of cooling system that utilizes external water circulation and a cooling tower to dissipate heat from the system. Unlike air-cooled types that rely on air fan blowers, water-cooled chillers use water as the medium in their condensers to absorb refrigerant heat, then circulate it to the cooling tower to be cooled again thru evaporative cooling.

Advantages of Water-Cooled Chiller:

• Energy Efficiency is Much Higher. Water has a much better capacity to absorb and conduct heat compared to air. This makes its electricity consumption more efficient for the same cooling capacity.
• Giant Cooling Capacity. Very robust and stable to handle large cooling loads continuously, making it ideal for large-sized buildings.
• Longer Lifespan. The main chiller unit is usually placed in a mechanical room (indoor/basement) so that it is protected from extreme outdoor weather, corrosion, and intense heat, making it more durable.
• Very Quiet (Low Noise). Because it does not use large cooling fans in its main unit and is located in a special room, its noise level is minimal and does not disturb the surrounding area of the building.
• Performance Unaffected by Outside Air Temperature. The condensation process relies on water from the cooling tower, so its performance remains stable even when the outside air temperature is very hot/sweltering.
